When we last spoke with Ward 12 Calgary city councillor Mike Jamieson, it was just prior to his narrow election victory back in October of 2025. We highlighted how the outcome of that municipal vote, and others like the election of his now colleague ward 14 councillor Landon Johnston, would prove invaluable litmus tests in terms of determining whether the city was going to buck the trend of woke progressive politics spearheaded by former mayor Jyoti Gondek and return to more conservative roots, or continue drearily down the drain of crumbling infrastructure, endless empty bike lanes, skyrocketing taxes and climate emergencies.

Fortunately, South Calgary did elect truly conservative candidates, like councillor Jamieson, and the cities’ new mayor Jeromy Farkas is quite a bit more sensible than his predecessor, but despite that good news there is undoubtedly a great deal of work to be done, largely because of the inept legacy of prior city councils. With that said, Adam was joined by Mike Jamieson to discuss his efforts to get everything back on track and to help rebuild this great city.
