The Way of True - Executive Summary of Episode 62: Alternative/Natural Health Care

In Episodes 57 to 60, I explained my understanding of the Four Legs of True Health Care: Physical, Emotional, Mental, and Spiritual Health.

In Episode 61, I shared my personal observations and life experiences within both the Canadian and United States Medical Care Systems — highlighting their tremendous strengths, where they excel, as well as their weaknesses, where serious reforms are needed to restore our medical system into a Principled Medical Care System.

In this Episode 62, I will present my own observations and experiences with the Alternative/Natural Health Care System in both Canada and the United States. These systems are similar in that they operate within the Free and Fair Enterprise Systems in both countries.

All three of the above-mentioned systems have an important role to play in enabling Canadian citizens to build and maintain excellent health throughout their entire lives.

In Episode 61 – Part 1 of a Principled Medical Care System – I purposefully did not discuss Private Sector and Government Sector delivery of medical care services.

In Episode 62 – Alternative/Natural Health Care – I discussed how Alternative Health Care operates entirely apart from the government-controlled and taxpayer-funded Medical Care System.

Yet, no one who uses the Alternative Health Care System is calling for federal or provincial governments to control or fund it — because it already works efficiently and at an affordable cost for Canadians, who personally and directly pay for the services of professionals delivering Natural Health Care. These professionals focus on identifying and removing the root causes of illness.

In fact, Alternative Health Care Services do not cost Canadian taxpayers anything, as they are delivered through the private sector — through the Free Enterprise System.

Whether it’s Dentists, Naturopathic Doctors, Homeopathic Doctors, Registered Nutritional Consultants, Registered Massage Therapists, or Reflexologists, all of these professionals serve the Canadian public by working to identify and remove the root causes of health issues. Canadians primarily pay these professionals directly, out of pocket, without government involvement — and the system functions much more efficiently and economically than the government-controlled, taxpayer-funded Medical Care System, which consumes nearly 40% or more of every provincial government’s budget — or about 40% of all Canadian taxpayer dollars.

I also acknowledge that Private Sector Health Insurance, such as Blue Cross, exists and is jointly funded by employers and employees to cover part of dental, eye care, and other professional health service costs.
